Kazuhiro KUMO (Research Director of the Center for Economic Institutions)
CEI has positions available for visiting faculty members. At least one faculty member of the Institute of Economic Research, Hitotsubashi University, should be a guarantor in order to apply for this position.
1. Research theme: Empirical and applied economics (including economic history). Preferably in the field of development economics. Visiting researchers should have sufficient research experiences and publications in their field.
2. Activities for visitors: Full time (normally 5-days a week) engagement during the visiting period. No teaching obligation. Visitors are expected to conduct research that is related with on-going research projects conducted by faculty members of CEI or IER (Institute of Economic Research), Hitotsubashi University, to which CEI is attached).
Visitors are required to give seminar presentations during their stay and to submit a discussion paper for CEI.
3. Visiting period and logistic arrangements: 3 to 12 months, falling between April 2016 and March 2021. Visitors are paid travel expenses, relevant remuneration, and other allowances in accordance with the regulations of the University. The University residential facility can be used depending on the availability.
4. Number of positions available: 1 or 2 depending on the intended period of stay.
